UK REACH compliance

  A company outside the UK who wants to export substances exceeding 1 tonne per year to the UK market will need to appoint a UK-based UK REACH Only Representative (OR).

We can prepare and submit UK REACH Inquiries. Analytical data for substance identity is critical for REACH, we can review this data and/or commission an Analytical Laboratory to produce the required information.

We have substantial experience in using IUCLID for REACH for both Joint and Lead Registrations. We can prepare Robust Study Summaries (RSS) and all other aspects of a REACH dossier.

The ATRm changes what companies must submit at the point of transitional

registration and when additional information may be required. Instead of

demanding complete hazard datasets upfront, the model introduces a staged

approach.

Upfront information will now include:

• Hazard conclusions rather than full study reports

• Existing use and exposure information, with no requirement for

GB-specific expansion

• A targeted chemical safety report, with full risk assessment only where

necessary

• Participation in substance groups to support data sharing and joint

submissions

This reduces the immediate burden on registrants while still giving the

regulator visibility of key risks.

Companies or individuals registering the same substance are matched  to a substance group in the ‘Comply with UK REACH’ service. This allows  members of the group to access each other’s contact details to:

• organise a registration strategy
• create a cost-sharing model
• share data 

Study Monitoring

We can help with the selection of a Contract Research Organisation (CRO)  to conduct the studies required for REACH. We can review study plans, monitor on-going studies, review reports and complete the IUCLID end-points with the study data.
